Bullying Prevention
Because Every Child Deserves to Feel Safe
Bullying can leave lasting scars—but with education, empathy, and early intervention, it can be stopped. ECHO’s Bullying Prevention program, developed by the Monique Burr Foundation, equips students and educators with the tools to create safer, more inclusive schools and communities.
Designed for students in grades K–12, this no-cost program is a powerful addition to any school’s safety and wellness strategy.
What Students Learn
This program helps students:
- Understand what bullying is (and isn’t)
- Recognize the different forms of bullying, including verbal, social, and cyber
- Build empathy and learn how to be an upstander—not a bystander
- Explore the connection between bullying and digital behavior
- Develop strategies to respond to bullying safely and confidently
For Schools & Educators
The program also provides actionable tools for educators and youth workers. It helps adults:
- Identify signs of bullying and victimization
- Respond to incidents appropriately and supportively
- Foster a school culture that promotes kindness and respect
ECHO’s bullying prevention training is a meaningful and practical way to reinforce anti-bullying efforts, especially during National Bullying Prevention Month in October—though it’s just as powerful year-round.
Why It Matters
Bullying thrives in silence. By starting conversations early, this program breaks that silence and helps students of all ages feel heard, supported, and safe. It’s about more than stopping bad behavior—it’s about building community.
Let’s make every classroom, hallway, and playground a safer space.
