Parent Café

Connection, Conversation, and Community for Caregivers

Raising kids isn’t easy—and no one should have to do it alone. That’s the heart behind Parent Café, a warm, welcoming program that invites caregivers to slow down, share openly, and gain confidence in their parenting journey.

Parent Café is more than a workshop—it’s an experience, where parents and guardians gather in a safe space to talk about the joys, challenges, and real-life moments of raising children.

Rooted in the Six Protective Factors

Each Café is structured around six evidence-based protective factors that reduce the risk of child abuse and strengthen families:

  1. Parental Resilience
  2. Social Connections
  3. Knowledge of Parenting and Child Development
  4. Concrete Support in Times of Need
  5. Social-Emotional Competence of Children
  6. Nurturing and Attachment

Conversations are guided but informal—allowing participants to reflect, listen, and encourage one another in a nonjudgmental, supportive space.

What to Expect

Over the course of four engaging sessions (each about 2.5 hours), caregivers will:

  • Build relationships with other parents
  • Discover new resources and parenting strategies
  • Learn how to navigate stress with confidence
  • Gain tools to foster stronger bonds with their children
  • Leave feeling supported, inspired, and heard

Why It Works

Parent Café creates a space where caregivers realize: “I’m not the only one.” It transforms isolation into connection and fear into confidence—helping build resilient families and stronger communities.
