ECHO’s Family Court Playroom is located in the Family Court division of the Justice Building.  Volunteers provide nurturing attention and timely distractions for children visiting the playroom while their parents are in Family Court.  Currently the playroom is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays 9am-12pm.

Christie’s Kids in Court was developed in partnership with the Commonwealth Attorney’s office as a way for children to participate in a court room walk through and mock trial in preparation for testifying or to reduce anxiety about trial procedures.  Kids In Court is open to any kid that can benefit from learning more about the court process. Parents are also given support and advice on important information about participating in a trial. Kids In Court is held on the first Tuesday of every other month from 4:45pm-6:30pm, or can be scheduled to meet the needs of the family. To participate, please contact the Victim Services coordinator at sonja@echo-ky.org or (502)636-3670.

LMPD Missing Persons Support is provided by ECHO staff and volunteers to the Missing Persons Unit of the Homicide Department of the Louisville Metro Police.  ECHO helps coordinate the communication between LMPD & local organizations to locate and return missing and runaway children. In addition, ECHO volunteers help create missing person flyers to distribute throughout the community and on social media platforms.
